What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician/Experienced Veterinary Assistant position at Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance (Non Profit)?
Veterinary Technician needed for high quality, high volume spay/neuter clinic in Gallatin, Tennessee. Applicant must be proficient in blood draws, iv drug administration, restraint, surgical prep, intubation, surgical recovery, monitoring patients under anesthesia and accurately keeping drug logs. The right person for this job would be highly self-motivated, organized, great at multi-tasking and able to work on their own as well as with a team. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds without assistance and be on their feet for most of the day. Candidate must be able to provide compassionate patient care and excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who is energetic, emotionally mature, self motivated and punctual. This person should have excellent animal handling skills and administrative skills. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, an excellent work ethic and be flexible when needed. This job is fast paced and physically demanding. The Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to our mission to reduce shelter intake and euthanasia of dogs and cats by making high quality, high volume, low cost spay/neuter services available to all residents of our community. All staff members should believe in our mission and want to make positive impact on our clients and patients. Must be able to work between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM. Closed weekends and holidays. This is a full time position (40-45 hours per week) with possibility for advancement. Salary will be based on experience. A part time position is also available.
