Job Summary:
Sumo Japanese Steakhouse – Russellville is seeking an experienced and motivated Hospitality Manager to lead our service team and ensure an exceptional dining experience for every guest. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to oversee daily operations, manage staff performance, and maintain a welcoming and efficient front-of-house environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and supervise all front-of-house staff including hosts, servers, and bartenders
- Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction through friendly and attentive service
- Oversee daily operations of the dining room and bar area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
- Monitor and manage floor operations, staff scheduling, and table assignments
- Resolve guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with kitchen and sushi bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and continuous training of front-of-house staff
- Monitor employee performance and enforce company policies
- Contribute to achieving sales goals through upselling, special promotions, and service excellence
Qualifications:
- 4 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant operations
