Title: Elementary/High School Teacher
Reports to: School Principal
Job Summary: The Elementary/High School Teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging and effective learning environment for students. This position requires a strong commitment to student achievement and development. The teacher will design and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives. The teacher will also foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructional Planning:
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and district curriculum standards.
Use various instructional strategies to support diverse learners and maximize student engagement.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
Classroom Management:
Create a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment.
Implement effective behavior management strategies to support student learning.
Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as necessary.
Assessment and Evaluation:
Regularly assess student progress through quizzes, exams, projects, and formative assessments.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student grades, attendance, and behavior.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to promote a positive school culture.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and curriculum planning.
Engage in continuous professional learning to improve teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
Communication:
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any areas of concern.
Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the broader community.
Other Duties:
Supervise students during school-related activities, such as lunch, recess, or extracurricular events.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
Valid teaching certification from the state’s Department of Education.
Strong knowledge of child development and educational best practices.
Prior teaching experience preferred, especially with elementary or high school students.
Ability to differentiate instruction and manage a diverse classroom.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Competence in using technology for instruction and record-keeping.
Skills:
Classroom management expertise.
Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional strategies.
Proficiency in integrating technology into lessons.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Salary:

Work Hours:
