Performance Responsibilities
- Works with students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom.
- Guides in the decision making processes concerning academics and personal/social development.
- Helps students evaluate their interests, aptitudes, abilities, and personal characteristics for educational planning.
- Consults with outside resources/agencies to maximize and coordinate the use of available services.
- Consults with parents regarding their children, family counseling on school related issues, and meetings for special purposes.
- Provides services and expertise to and for the students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community.
- Assists students in developing self-confidence and a positive self-concept.
- Assists students in strengthening interpersonal skills.
- Assists students in analyzing personal learning styles and improving individual study skills.
- Schedules, attends and presents at placement meetings.
- Confers with teachers and parents whenever necessary.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
