What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Technician/Cashier position at Sun and Sea Pharmacy?
We are not Corporate Retail! We do not want to be Corporate Retail!
We want our patients to enjoy their experience here and not feel the anxiety associated with visiting traditional, corporate pharmacies. We want all of our patients to leave feeling like they are part of our family.
Our hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm. We are closed on weekends and major holidays. The position is part-time, 25 hours per week, 11am - 4pm, with a pay range of $13 to $15 per hour but can vary depending on level of experience. Time management is very important to us so please be on time for any interview.
A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the daily operation of a quality Pharmacy department and delivering premier customer service:
- We have very nice patients that are kind and appreciative. Our ideal technician would make time for our customers and should be looking for an environment that is NOT like traditional retail. We place a strong emphasis on patient engagement and customer service. This is NOT corporate retail and we do enjoy what we do!
- greets customers and responds to customer questions
- handles customer requests for information (such as prescription printouts and reports, location of over-the-counter medications, and refills)
- complies with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies
- orders and receives prescription drugs and supplies
- initiates refill requests (as permitted by state regulations)
- ensures product is rotated, within date, and properly displayed on shelves
- counts and labels medications
- generates third-party billing electronically
- disposes properly of outdated, discontinued and/or unsaleable merchandise
- enters information into the Pharmacy computer system (including patient and prescriber profiles)
- files hard copy prescriptions
- reconciles insurance discrepancies
- accepts payment in the form of cash and other tenders and counts back change if necessary
- assists in other duties as assigned
Customer Service Associate / Cashier
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Answer customer inquiries and assist with phone calls.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves, leveling shelves and monitoring product availability.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for customers.
Experience:
- Previous experience in customer service or cashiering is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and a willingness to befriend our customers.
