Automotive Technician

The Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and dealership, manufacturers, and Boyds Tire standards.

Compensation: Hourly rate varies from $25-$40, depending on experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles based on certifications and experience levels.
• Performs work outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including Store Managers, Service Consultants, and customers.
• Recommends services necessary to maintain the customer's vehicle in good condition, documenting all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains ASE certifications and renews expiring certifications.

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of one unexpired ASE certification or equivalent experience/training.
• Hold a valid driver's license or obtain one within 30 days of the hire date.
• Able to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
