What are the responsibilities and job description for the SaaS Product Manager position at Sun Automation?
SUN is looking to hire a motivated Product Manager for a growing startup technology venture. We’re looking for strong self-starters who have a history of working with SAS product teams. This is a role that requires some financial, marketing, and technical knowledge, but also the ability to “get on the level” of the individual customer. This role will have the autonomy to build a product management framework from scratch and will assist with the management of all aspects of a product, from conception to sale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Involved in the product development life cycle from start to finish.
- Completes market research to identify trends and/or needs of targeted clients/customers.
- Participates in the development of document specifications that outline revisions or additional features of existing products, and the conception of new products.
- Analyzes and compares competitor's product lines in relation to the organization's current offerings.
- Develops strategies for competitive positioning to increase sales and promotions.
- Serves as a liaison between other departments for the purposes of gathering client/customer feedback and disseminating information pertaining to the status of product development.
- Work with Marketing to develop sales collateral that generates, accelerates, and increases the value of sales opportunities.
- Report on monthly/quarterly sales metrics using Salesforce.
- Work collaboratively with prospects and Customer Success team to identify customer needs, design a solution, and communicate ROI.
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with product management of a SAS product with businesses as customers.
- A 4 year Bachelor's degree in engineering or finance preferred.
- Exemplary presentation skills, both in-person and digitally.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) and convey complex, technical concepts simply.
- A desire for autonomy and trailblazing within a division of a larger company.
- Experience with a startup during rapid growth in a scaled B2B SaaS sales operation, exposure to the corrugated manufacturing space and understanding of machine learning and/or artificial intelligence all very helpful.
