Summary
We are seeking a Dietary Technician to join our team at Sun City Post Acute. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing patient dietary needs and implementing care plans that promote health and recovery. Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary needs and preferences.
- Develop and implement individualized dietary care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Monitor patients' nutritional intake and provide guidance on dietary restrictions.
- Supervise dietary aides and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Educate patients and families on nutrition-related topics and health coaching strategies.
- Assist with tube feeding procedures as needed, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dietary Technician or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of dietetics, physiology, and geriatric care principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans based on patient assessments.
- Experience in supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory.
