What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technology Operations Supervisor position at Sun City Texas Community Association?
Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, the Technology Operations Supervisor is a full-time position overseeing operations of technology systems, supervising department staff, and providing support to internal staff and residents. This position will support and oversee the day-to-day operations of servers, networks, computers, and audio-visual equipment throughout the Community Association. This position will serve as a supervisory and lead technician assisting the department director in managing department staff and resources and serving as an escalation point for other staff members. This is an on-site role with the opportunity to work remotely according to a schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prompt, helpful, and polite responses to support requests via Web, email, phone, and in-person
- Troubleshooting a wide variety of email, operating system, software, browser, smartphone, printer, network, website, and other issues for end users
- Manage technology related projects
- Serve as escalation point for department staff for technical and administrative issues
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair on laptops, desktops, phones, and printers
- Assist with maintaining asset inventory and preparing equipment
- Assist with department projects: quarterly and annual projects
- Consult with other departments to analyze systems and assist in new systems development
- Support of audio-visual needs for the CA to include equipment setup and operation for live events, postproduction of recorded content for broadcast on television and web streaming and troubleshooting equipment
- Assist director as needed or assigned in managerial tasks for the department such as managing time sheets, accounts payable, managing helpdesk metrics, attending applicable meetings, and preparing department budgets

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with coworkers and clients
- Capacity for multi-tasking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to assist on a wide range of issues
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with network administration and configuration
- Experience with Windows server environment
- Experience with the Office 365 suite and administration
- Experience with RMM software
- Experience with UCaaS system administration
- Experience with Cisco suite of hardware and software
- Experience with AV systems and hardware
- Demonstrable leadership skills or experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience on a helpdesk or with support ticketing systems
- Education minimum two-year related college/technical school degree and applicable industry certifications
REQUIREMENTS: The IT Department exists to support the business operations of the Community Association and help in any way possible—sometimes even outside the scope of strictly technology—and as such is integral to the success of the business as a whole. A desire and knowledge in leveraging technology as a tool to improve business is what defines the IT Department. The Technology Operations Supervisor will have industry experience in administering enterprise networks or systems and a technical background and/or training. This is a service role so strong customer service skills are required.
