JOB TITLE: Wash Bay Attendant
LOCATION: Grand Prairie
REPORTS TO: Regional Operations Manager
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm.Some overtime and some weekends required.
WAGES: Hourly. Commensurate with skills and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans and washes exterior and interior of company vehicles including trucks and trailers
- Vacuum, clean windows, dash, console, and any other part of vehicle or equipment that requires cleaning
- Monitor operation of cleaning machines and stop machines or notify supervisors when malfunctions occur
- Use materials such as water, cleaning agents, brushes and cloths
- Keep wash bay area clean
- Keep cleaning supplies in orderly fashion
- Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and remove containers from work areas
- Other tasks as assigned by manager
- Attend all required safety meetings
- Follow safe work practices
- Assist in tank set up if needed
- Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment
- Operate various hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor; or manager
- Perform manual labor
- Promote cooperation and good communication with all branch and corporate personnel
- Unload fuel products to yard storage tanks
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age 18
- Locals only. Must live within 60 miles of terminal
- Must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Valid class C driver’s license
- Ability to resolve issues quickly
- Ability to work a variety of hours, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and customers
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to operate pressure washer and vacuums
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
- Must be able to bend, sit, squat, stand crawl, walk, and reach above shoulder, and work with hands and arms for long periods of time
- Must be motivated, able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management and work well in a team environment
- Experience working in a similar job is preferred
