Overview:

We are committed to promoting renewable energy and empowering our customers with the customers with the benefits of solar power. We are currently seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair solar panel systems on rooftops following National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines
• Work on low voltage systems and handle electrical components safely.
• Operate forklifts and other necessary equipment on construction sites.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and voltmeters for system installations and trouble shooting.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient completion of projects.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal panel placement for maximum energy efficiency.
• Complete RMAs and log project documentation.
• Provide support to the installation team as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in solar panel installation or related field is required.
• Must be familiar with Enphase or Solar Edge- preferably both. Knowledge of Hoymiles a plus.
• Familiarity with commercial electrician practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in using handtools, power tools, and voltmeters.
• Ability to work safely on construction sites following all safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications accurately.
• Be familiar with electrical plans and field layouts.
• Ablilty to read and comprehend electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manual procedures, and regulations.
• Must be able to trouble shoot an inverter that is reporting production loss.
• Must have an understanding of battery backup systems.
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, and work on rooftops and in confined areas.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the solar industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
