Job Summary:
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for maintaining current Purchase Order information, order entry, creating reports, and extensive data entry.
The job will include, but not be limited to:
- Preparing, reviewing, processing, receiving, and placing purchase orders as directed
- Ensure purchase order confirmations received are accurate and logging into the business system
- Assist with managing the daily order requirements of the Customer Service Team
- Monitor open orders and follow up with supplies to ensure delivery is on track
- Assist with ongoing improvement to supply chain operations and drive implementation as necessary
- Monitor vendor performance; handle vendor nonconformance, including documentation, disposition, and corrective action
- Develop working relationships with internal and external clients (Accounting, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, Accounts Payable, Vendors, and Customers)
- Communicate to the appropriate individuals/departments in the organization regarding discrepancies and assist in resolving those discrepancies
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Minimum 1 year experience in Purchasing Dept or similar position
- Proficient computer and data entry skills and aptitude to learn new software applications
- Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English
- Must be able to work productively with minimal supervision
- Ability to manage and complete multiple responsibilities with in established timeframes
- Must be able to work some Saturdays
