General Purpose of Position:
The Cluster Manager (CM) is responsible for overseeing several retail locations and supervising multiple Retail Store Managers.
These responsibilities include driving sales metrics, executing operational initiatives, controlling expenses, handling personnel issues, implementing merchandising initiatives and applying company policies throughout the district.
The Cluster Manager are ultimately responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service throughout their stores by constantly improving the capability of their team.
A Cluster Manager is a role model, leader, solves problems, makes informed decisions and leads the workforce wisely in order to achieve maximum results.
The CM must demonstrate strong leadership skills and develop, implement and manage programs and processes.
- Demonstrate to other employees how to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Assist with keeping district team up to date on industry, carrier and company changes.
- Coordinate sales promotion activities.
- Oversee preparation of merchandise placement and displays.
- Help solve problems that affect the stores service, efficiency, and productivity.
- Conducts one on one monthly performance reviews with all location employees to build more effective communications, to identify training and development needs and to provide insight for the improvement of Solution Specialist activity and performance
- Ensure staff is selling utilizing the proper steps to a quality and complete sale
- Provide up to date industry and carrier specific information to sales team
- Coach team to thoroughly learn all day to day procedure and role accountabilities.
- Follow up on location paperwork. Check for completion, accuracy, as well as safeguarding customer information
- Complete a quarterly inventory count personally with the Store Manager in each location.
- Review accurate and timely completion of RSM/RSC operational checklists.
- Assist in locate missing phones & perform physical recounts as necessary
- Remain aware and current on all performance markers both with the location, district and the market
- Monitor schedules and check for proper scheduling level to meet customer service and sale goals.
- Oversee compliance of Store Managers with established Company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of Company
- funds and property, personnel practices, security, sales and record-keeping procedures by performing required audits.
- Drives sales performance; meeting individual, store and district sales goals through coaching, training, continually
- developing a sales team, monitoring and reviewing sales team progress.
- Assist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified Retails Store Managers and Retail Sales Consultants to meet the district's needs.
- Conduct orientation, train and coach the management staff in execution of daily tasks and to maximize sales.
- Coach team to consistently and accurately reporting data in business systems
- Participate in administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
- Review operational reports and records to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures,
- Coordinate new store openings and/ or closing of existing locations.
- Conduct one's self as a representative of the Carrier and the company
- Communicate company promotions, operational changes and overall goals with district team.
- Communicate key information to the Service Center to enable tailored promotions and marketing for location needs
- Maintain an open line of communication with the RSC, RSM, and peers, Regional Director, Executives and Home Office.
- Report potential problems and offer solutions to perceived shortcomings in any Sun Com's system or policy.
- Have and communicate a sense of pride in the company for which the employee works
- Actively promote the company and the carrier outside of the workplace for the purpose of driving sales
- Safeguarding of codes & passwords: incl. RQ4, carrier logins, email, security, etc...
- Monitor schedules and provide company with adequate follow up per policy

- Education:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Sales/general management experience
- Previous successful personal sales and customers service background
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
- Ability to travel 75% of the time.
- Physical Effort: Position requires moderate physical activity; requires handling of average-weight objects up to 30 pounds,
- or standing for long periods of time (more than 9 hours per day).
- must be able to work on ladder, push and pull 30lbs, lift up to 15 lbs overhead; must be able to carry 50lbs or greater for at least 100 feet; and stoop and bend.
