OVERVIEW
The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for gathering documents and information to assist with the return to inventory of new and pre-owned homes and the purchase of pre-owned homes. They also assist with the effective execution of core service programs, service responsiveness and cost management.
JOB DUTIES
- Orders, gathers, prints and reviews completeness of all inspections of Sun Homes inventory.
- Facilitates purchase transactions including executed purchase documents, verified marketable titles, resolution of tax and site rent issues, payment to seller from Accounts Payable, and receipt/transfer of titles / MSOs.
- Responsible for communicating missing inspection information required to make fact-based purchase decisions.
- Solicits complete lists of available repossessed homes for sale from banks and lenders monthly to appropriate parties.
- Computes and prices RTIs (Return to Inventory) of Sun Homes assets.
- Aggregates required data as it pertains to RTIs to include refurb matrix, asset photos, historical data and specific appraisal data specific to the asset.
- Analyzes received asset data and required documentation to confirm/adjust market sales price and LPP rate.
- Confirms required approvals are received for purchase of home.
- Communicates with other Sun Homes departments to ensure timely return of assets to inventory.
- Facilitates the services required as related to the review and management of the preowned home.
- Other asset management duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business (Preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 4 years administrative experience in a real estate type environment
- 6 months experience with homes sales or apartment leasing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others inside as well as outside the company
- Intermediate computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, email, internet
