The Supervisor of Materials position is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Materials functions as well as supervising the Material Coordinators at MSP.

The Supervisor of Materials position is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Materials functions as well as supervising the Material Coordinators at MSP.
Essential roles and responsibilities of a Materials Supervisor:

- Lead and support Material Coordinators in their daily activities. Implement and track all training requirements and curriculum, as well as perform all administrative functions. Retain records of training logs and certifications for compliance.
- Communicate inventory shortages and overstock to Sr. Inventory Control Analyst to ensure inventory levels are appropriately set utilizing Min/Max system.
- Monitor team to transact all loans and exchanges to ensure they are processed and returned expeditiously, while ensuring cores and return paperwork meet contract return requirements.
- Issue and monitor shelf-life procedures to ensure they are being accomplished in all MSP inventory locations.
- Manage administration and tracking of materials in MSP, fly-away kits, COMAT, consignment inventory, and off-site storage facilities.
- Monitor inventory utilizing cycle count process, ensure counts are completed to schedule and accurate. Research all flagged missing components identified.
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols that meet established accuracy metrics.
- Monitor day-to-day transactions to ensure controls in the ERP system are appropriately setup for the end user. Items such as ESD flag, Shelf-life flag and interval, Hazmat UN, etc.
- Maintain record of Hazardous Materials with relation to shipping, maintaining SDS files, accumulation of waste, and disposal in accordance with all local, state and Sun Country policy.
- Develop, Monitor and Enforce department SOP procedures to ensure adherence to all Sun Country Airlines' material guidelines and practices.
- Management of stockroom functions including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, binning, issuing, counting, tracking, logistics, housekeeping, and security for all material and tools controlled by the Materials Department.
- Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines
- Provide support to Material TechOps Leadership, as required
- Maintain MSP Material Coordinator schedules and ensure appropriate staff per shift.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the Manager Materials
- Exercise authority as delegated by the Manager of Materials

- Experience in Inventory, Warehouse and Materials Management
- Proven leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to perform independently and deliver results to the requisite quality and timeline metrics
- Aviation experience
- Supervisory experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
