What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reservations Specialist position at Sun Country, Inc.?

As a Reservations Specialist, you will join a team that is focused on servicing customers in planning and purchasing Sun Country air only and vacation package products, as well as assisting customers with existing reservations that require changes and modifications. If you are passionate about providing friendly, courteous service, have effective sales techniques, and want to help create memorable travel experiences this is the position for you!

Essential Functions

  • Provide timely and courteous responses to incoming phone calls.
  • Determine customer needs by asking effective qualifying questions; offer the appropriate options that match their needs.
  • Provide excellent customer service while making each call as efficient as possible.
  • Actively upsell products and services that match customer needs.
  • Promptly inform leaders of any problems and unusual circumstances such as reporting system issues or trending customer concerns
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Customer service, call center, or related customer contact experience.
  • Perfect attendance outstanding performance are required for your success at Sun Country Airlines
  • Demonstrated knowledge and aptitude to use computers, including proficient typing skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, and written)
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good reasoning, problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to navigate web-based reservations computer applications, Microsoft communication tools, and other programs as defined in your learning process.
  • Ability to work from home in a:
  • Private office and distraction-free environment
  • Hard wired connection to your modem of at least 10 Mbps
  • Employees must reside within commuting distance of Sun Country Headquarters
  • Shift differential for nights and weekends.

  • As a Reservations Specialist, you will participate in a 3-week mandatory virtual training class which includes Classroom Training, self-guided modules, and practical application.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office and remote environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones photocopiers, filing cabinets.
