A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Materials Procurement and Logistics Coordinator
In this full-time position, you offer hands-on support and coordination of project documentation. Most of your time is spent in the office on the phone or computer, interacting with clients, requesting schedules, and updating internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts) and install dates. You also interact with vendors for ship dates, material tracking, and warranty requests. Follow up as needed to confirm or change orders. To ensure our technicians have what they need when they need it, you ensure material arrives for upcoming projects. You will work closely with the warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition. Working closely with Project Management and Purchasing allows for an efficient operation and you love that you have your hands on the success of our current and future jobs!
Materials Procurement and Logistics Coordinator QUALIFICATIONS
- Comfortable with computers/software/hands on experience with purchasing software a plus
- Excellent negotiation skills
- 1 year of construction experience
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Excellent written, verbal & telephone communication skills
