Your Mission : The Lead Driver provides safe, friendly, and efficient transportation for the residents throughout the community. This is a lead position supporting the director with monitoring of vehicles, participant safety, supplies, maintenance scheduling, team communication and department training.

Key Responsibilities :
Greet all residents and visitors to the community in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner. Maintain a clean personal appearance and wear the approved uniform as required.Drive and operate a 12-person shuttle (requires DL).Drive and operate a 24-person shuttle (requires CDL).Provide safe transportation for residents to and from scheduled appointments.Transport groups of residents in a shuttle, van, bus or car to destinations scheduled by the Life Enrichment Department.Provide valet and parking service to community residents and their guests.Regularly maintain vehicles (oil, gas, fluids, etc.).Assist residents with packages and shopping carts as time permits.Work on a rotating standby basis for emergency calls.Assist other departments as needed (elevator and lockouts, deliveries, keeps front entrance and atrium free of litter).Responsibly manage company assets and budgets.Provide back-up support to the Dispatcher using the current transport program (Limo), inputting transportation requests as well as dispatching drivers.Assist with driver scheduling and overall vehicle maintenance scheduling.Monitor vehicles to ensure that there are adequate supplies and that the vehicles are clean and presentable.Monitor the pre-trip inspections of other drivers, in addition to own vehicle.Assist with training new hires, vehicle operations, as well as campus layout and safety.Act as a liaison between the drivers and Director of Customer Service regarding various transportation issues, both verbally and in writing to both the Director of Customer Service and dispatch personnel.Work agreed upon schedule with minimal absences in accordance with the attendance policy and perform routine tasks without close supervision.Put team success ahead of individual interests; contribute to teamwork by demonstrating a "will-do" attitude by working cooperatively with others, including other departments.Anticipate what needs to be done and proactively complete the work, going beyond the minimum requirements and demonstrating an ownership attitude towards the community.Know the community emergency procedures and actively participate in emergency drills.Perform all other duties as assigned.Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers / audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (The 6Cs) each and every day.Other duties as assigned.Your Qualifications :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.Have a valid CDL (CDL Driver) Class B Driver / Endorsement requiredHave a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain required.Have a Department of Transportation (DOT) Clearance or ability to obtain.Employee Benefits :
