The Regional Application Specialist (RAS) will promote the application and sale of our valves, integrated packages, and electronic solutions to key customers and OEMs. All while creating, building, and managing relationships with distributors and customers throughout Western United States and Canada market.

The Regional Application Specialist (RAS) will promote the application and sale of our valves, integrated packages, and electronic solutions to key customers and OEMs. All while creating, building, and managing relationships with distributors and customers throughout Western United States and Canada market.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities to increase market share in the region.
- Guide and work with distributors to reach growth goals at target customers.
- Build excellent relationships with distributors and customers throughout the region
- Frequently visit key customers and OEMs
- Provide high level technical application support for distributors and customers
- Facilitate in depth Engineer-to-Engineer collaboration to embed products into customer platforms
- Participate and support customer through prototyping and testing
- Investigate market needs for innovative product opportunities and disseminate them accordingly to engineering and product management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the assigned region
- Promote, present, and demonstrate Helios Hydraulics Americas products to distributors and customers
- Train distributors and customers on Helios Hydraulics Americas products
- Valve Selling
- Strategic planning and account management
- Able to draw, interpret, and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits
- Must be a self-starter who demonstrates creativity, motivation, and hands-on capability
- Ability to travel to Sarasota, FL - Including extended stay for training
- Ability to travel extensively in the East Central United States and Eastern Canada region
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, electrical, or fluid power discipline or equivalent technical education and/or experience
- CFPHS or IFPS Hydraulic Specialist certification or be able to obtain certification
- 5-years or more of sales experience in fluid power. Experience selling cartridge valve technology is a plus
- Ideal candidate would reside in CA, OR, or WA.
- Ability to travel to Sarasota, FL
- Ability to travel heavily in Western region of the United States and Canada
