What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Player Assistant/Ranger (Part-Time) position at Sun Lakes Homeowners Association #1?
PURPOSE
The Golf Course Player Assistant/Rangers ensures that course is maintained and all aspects of play run smoothly. They serve as liaisons between players, management, and other employees, communicating any feedback from golfers and handling emergencies that arise. As one of the front-line employees in providing customer service, player assistants are expected to be friendly and courteous and possess excellent communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Golf Course Rangers inform players of golf course rules and regulations, and enforce rules by removing golfers who are in violation.
- Monitor the course to keep games moving at a reasonable pace, and confirm players have paid with receipts or have an annual pass.
- Report to the golf course supervisor or manager, rangers communicate the details of the play and update management of any adverse course conditions.
- As part of their maintenance duties, golf course rangers make sure that supplies, such as flags, water bottles, and cups, are properly placed throughout the course before and during games.
- Inform management when supplies run low.
- End of day may assist with storing golf carts and other equipment, as well as cleaning course facilities.
- Regulate the pace of play daily.
- Assist with and attempt to resolve a variety of customer requests and issues, such as disputes, equipment needs, or facility questions.
- Other duties as requested.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.35 per hour
