About the Role
The Portfolio Management Director will play a critical role in coordinating tactical and strategic investment decisions to support Sun Life's General Account. This includes working closely with Front Office teams for all existing and new asset classes that comprise the General Account investment portfolio.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading SLC's involvement in investment strategy reviews, aiming to determine optimal asset mixes and identify new asset classes to improve overall performance and profitability.
- Developing and maintaining the in-house asset portfolio optimization toolkit.
- Reviewing portfolio asset mix and risk exposures, ensuring compliance while optimizing overall exposure.
- Partnering with senior Portfolio Management leaders and the SLC Strategic Initiatives team to support the General Account and grow total SLC AUM.
