The opportunity: The RFP Analyst manages, directs, facilitates, responds to and completes both Request for Proposals and Request for Information documents submitted by Employee Benefit Representatives on behalf of Prospect Clients. This role supports all Life, Dental, Disability, Absence / Leave and Worksite Products. RFP Analysts facilitate the development of comprehensive responses while coordinating and working with internal business partners including; Distribution, Underwriting, Sales Support and Fulfillment.
How you will contribute:
Performance attributes include strong writing and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines, project management and issue resolution.
- Complete RFP questionnaires on or before due date: Respond with customized, accurate, persuasive responses; collaborate with subject matter experts across all functions, Sales and the Underwriting team to write individualized responses that recognize each customer's unique benefit and service needs.
- Provide any new responses from SMEs to our database owner as they come up in day-to-day work.
- Increase the visibility of the RFP Unit: Participate in strategy calls and follow-up calls; partner closely with both field and underwriting partners to effectively position Sun Life's offerings.
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with a diverse group of internal partners.
- Utilize technology to efficiently respond to RFP Questionnaires and maintain high quality responses in the RFP database.
- Meet time service delivery standards.
- Develop and provide RFP responses that help differentiate SLF in the marketplace.
- Supports the identification and development of best practices
- Work effectively in a high volume, transaction oriented environment with a strong focus on details.
- Must demonstrate a responsive, service oriented professional approach.

- BA/BS degree preferred or applicable industry specific experience
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to develop and maintain effective, professional business relationships across all levels of the organization
- Must be detail oriented, well organized and have the ability to manage a high volume workload with competing demands
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite tools including Excel and Word

- Southern region: $63,300-$94,900 annually
- Central region: $66,700-$100,100 annually
- Northern region: $71,300-$107,000 annually
If you are a Colorado resident, the salary range for this position is $60,400-$90,600 annually.
If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $71,300-$107,000 annually.
If you are Washington resident, the salary range for this position is $66,700-$100,100 annually.
