Job Summary:
The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing efficient HVAC systems for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This role requires expertise in system design, load calculations, and equipment selection while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The HVAC Engineer will collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers to deliver cost-effective and high-performing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support HVAC design and engineering for various projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, and system integration.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Conduct site surveys to ensure HVAC systems are installed correctly and meet project specifications.
- Prepare reports and communicate design decisions to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HVAC engineering and system design.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy modeling, and ASHRAE/local codes.
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit and AutoCAD (2015 or above) preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
