Project Manager – HVAC

Sun Mechanical Systems, Inc. is a national leader in design-build HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial projects.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex HVAC projects from start to finish.

• Manage HVAC projects to ensure timely completion, adherence to budgets, and strict compliance with specifications.
• Oversight of interdepartmental teams, task delegation, and effective resource allocation.
• Development and management of project budgets, cost analyses, and financial reporting.
• Risk identification, mitigation strategies, and issue escalation when necessary.
• Primary liaison between clients, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintenance of industry regulations, codes, and best practices.
• Support for pre-construction efforts, including subcontractor coordination.
• Accurate project documentation and stakeholder access to up-to-date information.
• Review and processing of vendor, subcontractor, and supplier invoices.
• Organization and attendance of project meetings, ensuring action item completion.
• Project closeout, including final reports, as-built drawings, and warranties.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in mechanical contracting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and construction documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• OSHA certification or safety training is beneficial.
• Experience in contract negotiation and client relationship management.
• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or similar certifications are advantageous.
