Groundskeeper

Responsibilities:

• Landscaping Maintenance:

• Perform regular lawn care activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging to ensure a well- manicured appearance.
• Plant, cultivate, and maintain flowers, trees, and shrubs according to seasonal needs.
• Monitor and control pests, weeds, and disease to preserve the health of the landscape.
• Hardscape Maintenance

• Maintain pathways, driveways, and other hardscape elements to ensure safety and aesthetics.
• Conduct routine inspections and repairs of outdoor furniture, fences, and other structures.

• Irrigation Management

• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, adjusting schedule based on weather conditions.
• Ensure efficient water usage and address any issued with the irrigation system promptly.

• Seasonal Clean-up:

• Perform fall and spring clean-up activities, such as leaf removal, pruning, and debris clearance.
• Prepare the grounds for seasonal events and activities.

• Equipment Operation

• Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.

• Grounds Monitoring:

• Regularly inspect the grounds for potential hazards, such as uneven pathways or damaged structures.
• Report any safety concerns to the management team promptly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a groundskeeper or similar role.
• Knowledge of plant care, landscaping techniques, and hardscape maintenance.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and their operation.
• Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high aesthetic standards.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and prolonged periods of outdoor work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00
