Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician at Sun Mountain Lodge, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smoother operation and upkeep of our lodge. You will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to preserve the lodge’s physical assets. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in maintenance and a passion for creating a safe and comfortable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and HVAC system maintenance to ensure the lodge’s facilities are in excellent working condition.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to address issues that may affect guest safety or comfort.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement a preventative maintenance schedule to proactively address potential issues and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Landscape Maintenance: Maintain the lodge’s outdoor areas, including gardens, trails, and recreational facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing.
- Equipment and Appliance Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, ad maintain equipment and appliances in guest rooms, common areas, and staff facilities.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of maintenance supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels for routine and emergency repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with local regulations.
- Guest Interaction: Interact with guests professionally and courteously, addressing the maintenance concerns promptly and effectively.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and expenses. Provide regular maintenance reports to lodge management.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other lodge departments to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests.
Qualifications
- Handyman experience preferred
- Experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hospitality or lodge setting
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Be able to read and understand product and equipment labels, instructions, warnings, and directions, and have legible handwriting skills.
- Valid Washington State Drivers License and be insurable.
