Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach is a premier RV and cottage resort dedicated to providing unique and memorable vacation experiences. We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Activities Coordinator to join our team and help create exceptional events and activities for our guests. The Activities Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of resort events, ensuring seamless experiences from start to finish.
Job Summary:
The position will oversee and execute a wide range of recreational activities, from arts and crafts to outdoor adventures, ensuring guests are entertained and engaged throughout their stay. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, creativity, and a love of working with people. You will be part of a team that strives to create memorable, fun, and enriching experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily recreational and social activities for guests of all ages, including children, families, and adults.
- Lead and facilitate activities such as nature walks, games, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, outdoor sports, themed events, and seasonal celebrations.
- Develop and maintain event schedules, ensuring activities are well-timed and appropriately resourced.
- Create and distribute activity materials, ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready and available for each event.
- Interact with guests to promote participation, ensuring a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
- Ensure safety guidelines and resort policies are followed during all activities.
- Collaborate with other resort departments to support activities (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage) to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests.
- Assist in the planning of special events and resort-wide activities, including holiday and themed events.
- Maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment and coordinate any necessary purchases or replacements.
- Monitor guest participation and satisfaction, adjusting activities as needed to ensure guest enjoyment.
- Assist with promoting activities through resort communication channels, including digital signage, social media, and guest newsletters.
