Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Services: Provide culturally sensitive clinical services including assessment and treatment planning, individual, family, and group psychotherapy, crisis counseling, and community consultation and education.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and timely documentation of client progress, ensuring that all records are up to date according to established procedures.
- Treatment Coordination: Identify case management needs of clients and work collaboratively with other agency staff and community organizations to meet these needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in need.
- Program Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of behavioral health programs within the clinic.
- Clinical Supervision: Participate in regular clinical supervision to support ongoing professional development.
- Compliance: Follow established clinic policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to all professional standards and regulatory requirements.
- Community Outreach: Engage in community outreach efforts to promote mental health awareness and services available at Sun River Health.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of New York.
- Prior experience in outpatient behavioral health settings is required.
- Strong commitment to community behavioral health.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varied cultural experiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
