What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recovery Specialist I position at Sun Street Centers?
Responsible for security of a Residential Womens Alcohol and Drug Program during the day, night and/or on weekends. Serve the special needs of program participants and individuals involved with the criminal justice system. Monitor Guest room clients in detox on a regular basis. Complete check of rooms twice a night. Preparation for the morning shift with daily roster and sign-in sheets for committee meetings. Provide support for residents in recovery from addiction; participate in program activities designed to support environmental change for individual recovery.
NOTE: Employees will be required to be fingerprinted and will be subject to clearance by the department of Justice. Health Screening and TB Testing are a required for this position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the alcohol and drug addictions field and residential treatment program a plus; if in recovery, approved amount of time in continuous sobriety. Emergency Medical Technicians, nursing students, VNA experience, are encouraged to apply and must have proof of basic safety training
