BHI Energy is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Health Physics Technician, you will be responsible for evaluating radiological conditions in the workplace and implementing controls to maintain radiation exposures as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA). You will have excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with experience working in the Nuclear Power industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate radiological conditions and implement necessary safety measures
- Oversee work involving radioactive materials
- Analyze and track radioactive materials, dose rates, airborne particulates, and radiological controls
- Establish safe means and testing cycles for radioactive material handling
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, including chemistry and math courses
- Ability to pass EPRI knowledge exams and performance evaluations
- Meet ANSI standards for Radiation Protection (ANSI N18.1-1971; ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978; ANSI/ANS 3.1-1993; or ANSI/ANS 3.1-2014)
