Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate radiological conditions and implement controls to maintain radiation exposures as low as reasonably achievable.
- Oversee work involving radioactive materials and utilize special instrumentation to analyze and track radiation levels.
- Establish safe procedures for collecting, storing, packaging, transporting, and disposing of radioactive material.
- Collect and analyze radiological samples and serve as a technical subject matter expert on radiation protection.
- Notify supervision and prepare documentation of any safety concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with chemistry and mathematics courses.
- Ability to pass knowledge exams and performance evaluations administered through the EPRI process.
- Meet ANSI N18.1-1971, ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978, ANSI/ANS 3.1-1993, or ANSI/ANS 3.1-2014 standards.
