Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Duration: Expected to be 12 Months Contract with possible extension.

Payrate: $50/hr

Job Description:

• As a Lean Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in transforming our manufacturing processes to achieve world-class efficiency, quality, and productivity. Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and sustaining single piece flow lines, which are production systems that produce one piece of product at a time, reducing waste and maximizing value-added activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Single Piece Flow Lines: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement single piece flow lines that meet production requirements, reduce lead times, and improve quality. This includes:
• Analysing existing processes to identify waste and opportunities for improvement
• Developing and implementing process improvements using lean principles and tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen events)
• Designing and installing new equipment and layouts to support single piece flow
• Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by applying lean principles to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve flow. This includes:
• Identifying and eliminating non-value-added activities (waste) in production processes
• Implementing standardized work and visual management systems
• Developing and implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs to ensure equipment reliability

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
• 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
