Noon Aide / Recess Monitor
Location : Avondale
Employment Type : Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Salary : $15.00 per hour
Hours : 10 : 45 AM to 12 : 45 PM Monday through Friday
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Noon Aide / Recess Monitor, you are expected to work outside, and be responsible for proper supervision at recess. You will also :
- Report any difficulties or unusual problems to the teachers and other school personnel
- You must be able physically capable of prolonged standing, walking and stooping
- May direct students in gathering materials, games, balls, or other items to be used during the activities
- Be able to give special attention to safety factors when weather or other circumstances occur
- Immediately report any injury or unusual problems to the professional staff
- Convey positive communication / interactions with the scholars
- Restricting students from inappropriate behavior
- Dismiss classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled times
- Checking the playground daily, and appropriately addressing ground and equipment hazards
- Responding appropriately to emergencies
