IT Manager
Position Summary:
The position is located in beautiful Sun Valley, Idaho at a very influential non-profit K-12 private school. The IT Manager will provide leadership, strategic oversight, and hands-on management of the school’s technology infrastructure, academic technology initiatives, and information systems. Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for fostering a technology-driven culture that enhances teaching, learning, and administrative operations while ensuring security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Infrastructure & Operations
- Oversee IT support services, including help desk operations, asset management, and procurement of technology hardware such as MacBooks, iPads, security cameras, and A/V systems.
- Manage the integration and maintenance of key IT systems, including Google Workspace and Blackbaud.
- Oversee third-party software solutions, ensuring effective account management and rostering.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, including those responsible for network infrastructure and cybersecurity.
- Act as the primary point of contact for crisis management situations related to technology.
Information Systems & Data Management
- Supervise database management, including the Student Information System, ensuring seamless user support.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in data security.
- Oversee digital onboarding processes for new students, parents, and employees.
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage the technology budget, optimizing cost-effective procurement and resource allocation.
- Oversee the acquisition, deployment, and lifecycle management of technology assets across all departments.
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement a strategic technology plan aligned with the school’s mission and long-term goals.
- Assess current and future technology needs, forecasting infrastructure requirements and planning for upgrades.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team, faculty, and external partners to implement technology solutions that enhance both learning and administrative efficiency.
- Advocate for responsible technology use among students and faculty, particularly in areas such as generative AI and digital citizenship.
Academic Technology & Instructional Support
- Partner with academic leadership to integrate technology into the curriculum, enhancing student learning and faculty instruction.
- Provide professional development and training for faculty, staff, and students on best practices for educational technology.
- Evaluate, implement, and ensure the security of educational software and digital tools.
- Research and introduce emerging academic technologies in response to faculty and student needs, staying informed of industry trends.
