What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Sun Valley Resort?
The Barback assists with opening and closing responsibilities, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, ice, bar kits, and glassware.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the bar is well-stocked with all beverages, including liquor, wine, and beer
- Check taps and change out kegs
- Keep the bar tidy by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, bussing dirty dishes and glassware, cleaning reach-in coolers, and emptying trash
- Learn the menu items and memorize cocktail recipes
- Assist bartenders as needed
- Maintain par levels and report levels of usage to the bar manager to facilitate ordering
Qualifications:
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Be physically fit and capable of strenuous working activity
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
