What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bike Rental & Sales Associate position at Sun Valley Resort?
Pete Lane’s Mountain Sports is looking for seasonal Bike Rental & Sales Associates who are willing to work in a fast-paced team environment. Live and play in a mountain bike wonderland. Sun Valley is home to hundreds of miles of great trails. Pete Lane’s Mountain Sports offers a large bike rental fleet and tune-up and repair services in the heart of Sun Valley Resort. We are also a Trek, Kona, and Norco bike dealer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and help them evaluate their recreational needs
- Utilize computer rental software to track rentals, inventory, and charges
- Size guests to bikes, adjust the seat height and demonstrate the use of the bike
- Recommend different areas to ride and what else they can do in the valley
- Help guests with purchases of clothing and accessories to complement their adventure
- Recommend additional services & guided opportunities
- Perform minor mechanical adjustments to the bikes, including installing trailers and tag-a-longs to bikes
- Utilize computer rental software to track rentals, inventory, and charges
- Keep the rental shop neat, tidy, and clean
- Clean bikes upon return in preparation for the mechanics to service
Qualifications:
- Be a team player and have a positive/fun-loving attitude
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching

Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
