Cosmetologist

The Cosmetologist must possess and maintain knowledge of current styles and trends. They must also have excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills and be willing to train in our spa’s specific salon services. They must hold and maintain a current state license. 

 Duties & Responsibilities:   

• Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service
• Provide consistent professional hair treatments using spa protocols and accepted certification practices
• Be flexible with the schedule, supporting the needs of the spa
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered while educating and training guests in these areas
• Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals
• Perform prep work, properly clean, and restock room as required
• Communicate to management any occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
• Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, retail, and available programs, promotions and/or discounts
• Other responsibilities to be assigned

 Qualifications:    

• Hold and maintain a current cosmetologist state license
• Have a thorough knowledge of numerous hair care modalities, possess a general understanding of hair, scalp and color treatments and be willing to train in specific hair care treatments offered on the menu.  
• Customer service experience
• Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking up and down stairs routinely, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
• Possess strong verbal communication skills and the ability to hear and respond to instructions, inquiries, and information
