A Mountain Guest Service team member elevates every guest's experience to ensure 100% satisfaction by engaging, assisting, and valuing each individual.

Duties & Responsibilities :
- Prioritize safety in every task and decision
- Support guests in the arrival and departure areas of the parking lots and base areas, providing directions, information, and public relations
- Monitor ski runs for injured or distressed guests, notifying mountain dispatch and staying with individuals until help arrives
- Maintain expert knowledge of Bald and Dollar Mountain lifts, trails, runs, adventure trails, and current snow conditions
- Stay informed about products and services available across Sun Valley properties and in the local community to assist guests effectively
- Support all Mountain Departments including but not limited to Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, Ski & Ride School, Competitions Services, Base Operations
- Engage and educate skiers and riders on safe mountain recreation and ensure effective speed control throughout the day
- Assist with setting up ski information boards, ski racks, picnic tables, distributing trail maps, and moving wagons
- Perform snow removal tasks using shovels or snow blowers as needed
Qualifications :
- Be available to work through the entire season. Expect to be scheduled 3 days per week and possibly more during holidays
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Daily snow and operational updates, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively in group or public settings
- Strong common sense and the ability to navigate complex situations with multiple variables
- Basic knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn POS systems
- Must possess excellent skiing or snowboarding ability
- Ability to ski or snowboard in a variety of snow conditions and frequently stand, walk, and lift objects to 50 pounds
- While performing their duties, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high altitudes, and extreme weather conditions
