What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Technician position at Sun Valley Resort?
The HVAC Technician candidate will already have some experience, be self-motivated, have flexible hours, and be able to work alone or as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Use blueprints or design specifications to install or repair HVACR systems
- Connect systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components
- Install electrical wiring and controls and test for proper operation
- Inspect and maintain customers’ HVACR systems, test individual components to determine necessary repairs, and repair or replace worn or defective parts
- Determine HVACR systems’ energy use and make recommendations to improve efficiency
- Service and repair all resort refrigeration units (kitchen walk-in/reach-in, ice machines, ice cream machines, etc.)
- Service and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and their components (boilers, pump valves, blowers, air compressors, pneumatic controls, etc.)
- Service and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, broilers, mixers, steamers, steam tables, automatic door openers, wet belts, etc
Qualifications:
- Valid apprentice card
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC or relative experience
- HVAC training is preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
