What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Steward position at Sun Valley Resort?
The Kitchen Steward ensures the kitchen, machinery, and equipment are maintained in the most sanitary condition.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and silverware
- Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and prepare utensils
- Maintain safe work areas by attending to debris, boxes, equipment, etc
- Attend to all trash and recycling matters in kitchen areas
- Ensure clean floors, practicing safe methods while sweeping and mopping
- Safely store cleaned kitchen equipment in an organized manner
- Attend to other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
