What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nail Technician position at Sun Valley Resort?
Sun Valley Nail Technicians provide guests and clients with professional and precise nail care.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide consultations to potential guests as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area
- Follow proper sanitation requirements
- Keep up-to-date guest records
- Complete each service at a designated time
- Contribute to events or promotions as needed
- Strive for the overall success of the department as a whole
- Educate guests and clients on current merchandise for purchase
- Assist the Spa Director or Spa Front Desk Supervisor with any job-related tasks
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Idaho State Nail Technician license
- A minimum formal education and certification from an accredited school of cosmetology and/or nail technician education or equivalency in an apprenticeship is required
- The ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions is required
- Two years of resort/spa experience preferred
- Considerable experience in all aspects of assessing and working with varying nail types
- Knowledge of techniques including but not limited to spa manicuring & pedicuring, CND/Shellac or its equivalent, pressure point treatments, and acrylic techniques
- CPR/First Aid is a plus
- Nail artistry is a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
