What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tennis and Pickleball Guest Service position at Sun Valley Resort?
The primary function of the Tennis and Pickleball Guest Service position is providing first-contact customer interaction, including booking Tennis and Pickleball lessons and clinics, overseeing Junior Camp registration and check-in, checking in guests, selling merchandise, and cleaning and stocking the guest areas. Any Guest Service team member must be able to adapt to changing workplace demands and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Must have enthusiasm and excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills
- Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly & outgoing personality
- Ability and willingness to present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Familiarity with essential phone & computer knowledge & skills
- Must be detail-oriented, multitasking, efficient, and productive in a fast-paced environment. Must also limit mistakes under pressure
- Flexible schedule, Including AM & PM shifts, weekends & holidays
- Knowledge of Tennis or Pickleball is a plus
- Help prepare snacks for Junior Camp
Qualifications:
- Communicate effectively with the general public and disseminate information accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to read and speak English fluently is mandatory
- Must be able to interact with co-workers positively and have a sense of what team means
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, poking, and reaching
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
