What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wrangler position at Sun Valley Resort?
Sun Valley Resort Stables is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join our team as Wranglers for the upcoming 2025 Summer Season. As a Wrangler, you will have the unique opportunity to lead trail rides up Dollar Mountain, showcasing the breathtaking views of Sun Valley, Idaho, and sharing your love for horses with our guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Guiding trail rides for guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience
- Catching and saddling 30 horses daily
- Feeding 30 horses daily
- Assisting with farm maintenance, including fixing fences, operating a tractor, and other projects
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of equestrian riding experience
- Understanding of riding and guest safety protocols during trail rides
- Professional demeanor with coworkers and guests
- Punctuality and reliability are crucial
- Ability to work in hot and dusty environments
- Positive attitude and ability to work with others in a team environment
- Commitment to work the entire season from mid-May to Labor Day
- Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
