Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as contracts, agreements, policies, and other essential legal documents.
- Conduct thorough legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices to provide valuable insights that guide the legal team's decisions.
- Maintain and organize corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and other vital legal documentation to ensure legal compliance.
- Help manage and protect the company's intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, safeguarding our brand's value.
- Work alongside external counsel to address the legal needs of the company, ensuring efficient and effective communication.
- Maintain a system to track ongoing legal matters, ensuring all deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized.
- Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards while assisting with compliance matters and promoting a legally sound environment.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and preparing correspondence.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and documentation for legal matters.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of corporate, contract, and intellectual property law, with a demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge in practical settings.
- Excellent research abilities, strong writing skills, and the ability to present complex legal information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) and familiarity with legal research platforms like Westlaw and LexisNexis. Experience with legal document management software is a plus.
