Job Title : Quality Control Technician
Pay Rate : $20-$24 / hour (on W2)
Duration : 6-month contract
Location : Minnesota, MN
POSITION OVERVIEW :
We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials and documentation supplied by both internal manufacturing and external suppliers. The role involves performing a variety of quality control functions, including testing, inspections, documentation, and data analysis to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Laboratory Environment : Work within a laboratory setting, ensuring cleanliness of QC areas and proper handling of materials.
- Lot Release Testing : Conduct lot release testing, record data accurately, and perform basic statistical analysis when required.
- Incoming Material Inspections : Verify incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual examinations, taking variable measurements, and rejecting or returning unacceptable materials.
- Secondary Reviews : Provide independent review of fellow technician’s work to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Sample Assembly : Assemble sample products as necessary for testing purposes.
- Documentation : Complete reports and logs documenting inspection results, and input data into appropriate databases.
- Quality Monitoring : Monitor product quality and report findings to Quality Engineering and Quality Management.
- Equipment Maintenance : Ensure measurement equipment is maintained in working order by following setup procedures and tracking calibration status.
- Deviation Reports : Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Deviation Reports as needed.
- Quality System Improvements : Participate in the Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) process to contribute to ongoing quality system improvements.
- Continuous Improvement : Proactively suggest process improvements and recommend procedural modifications for approval.
- Collaboration : Work closely with engineers to develop and modify lab procedures and methods for evaluating products.
- Training : Conduct training exercises based on areas of expertise for team members.
- Audit Support : Assist with internal and external audit activities as assigned.
- Compliance : Adhere to all company policies and maintain up-to-date training records.
