What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint (Novice) position at SUNBELT SOLOMON SERVICES, LLC?
The Paint position is responsible for prepping and painting transformer units. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.
- Mixing paint and making sure the viscosity is correct and consistent with specs.
- As needed replace paint in pots/drums and regular maintenance
- Making sure paint guns are all in working order and spray pattern is good for applying.
- Review checklist and follow work order instructions to ensure compliance with specifications
- Assess units prior to paint and check for issues (defects, leaks, etc.), escalate defect issues to lead or supervisor if discovered
- If needed clean unit off accordingly by air or tack cloth
- Apply primer and paint as indicated in the work order instructions and comply with quality expectations
- If unit is disassembled spray unit parts as required
- After primer and paint is complete look over unit to ensure quality expectations are met
- Once work order is complete move unit to final assembly
- Follow all safety protocols related to painting units, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) which include respirator, glove, safety glasses, etc.
- Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation and area.
- Other assigned duties as needed.
