What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Material Handler position at Sunbelt Solomon?
Hours are Friday-Sunday 12 hour shift with guaranteed 40 hours.
- Bring materials from warehouse to winding shop.
- Put materials back in warehouse.
- In the event the lead is gone for the day, fill in as back-up lead.
- Stage winding supplies to correct location.
- Assist winders in setting up machines.
- Moving materials within the shop to stage for machine setup.
- Collect and sorts complex material.
- Utilize radio to make communication with winding shop.
- Follow work orders and update inventory to present to Winding Supervisor.
- Weigh wire prior to returning to inventory.
- Strip wire prior to pressing.
- Move coils to stacking department.
- Stripping of all aluminum wire before sending to press/oven
- Assist paper cutter/foil slitter/buss bar as needed
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Prior experience operating a forklift, preferred.
- Experience completing paperwork.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing/technical environment
