Position: CVOR Tech
Location: Fort Myers, FL (Heart Health and Cardio Center)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) Monday-Friday
On-Call Requirement: Approximately 1 weekend per month and 1-2 weekdays (end of shift until 6:30 AM). Must return to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech for a 13-week contract position in Fort Myers, FL. This role is essential in supporting cardiovascular surgeries, and experience in heavy cardiac/open heart (OH) cases is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team with cardiovascular and open-heart surgeries in the CVOR.
- Ensure the operating room is prepared with the necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all surgical protocols.
- Support surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, handling tissue, and performing other technical duties.
- Be available for on-call shifts, ensuring a 30-minute response time when called in.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a CVOR setting, with heavy cardiac/open-heart surgery experience required.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Active BLS certification.
- Must be flexible with on-call responsibilities.
