Job Description:
Sunbelt Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Travel Echo Tech (Cardiac Sonographer) for a 13-week contract in Santa Fe, NM. This role involves working 10-hour day shifts from Friday to Monday, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Echo Tech to advance their skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for performing detailed echocardiographic studies, assisting in the diagnosis of heart conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac sonography with at least 2 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality echocardiograms, following established protocols and physician orders.
- Utilize your expertise in cardiac sonography to support the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
- Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Document and report findings accurately within the EMR system.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a two-year allied health education program in a patient care-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech.
- Active New Mexico State License.
- ARDMS or CCI Registration.
- BLS certification (AHA only).
- Ability to work scheduled day shifts (Friday to Monday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM).
