English and Social Studies Teacher Pregnant and Parenting Teen Mothers near Brookside, DE
We are seeking a dedicated English and Social Studies Teacher to join a supportive educational setting for pregnant and parenting teen mothers. This is a full-time position that provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.
Position Details:- Start Date/End Date: ASAP End of the school year
- Schedule: Full-time
- Assignment: One school location
- Teach English and Social Studies to pregnant and parenting teen mothers, focusing on academic skills and personal development
- Develop and implement engaging, culturally responsive lessons
- Utilize systems such as Schoology to manage course materials and track student progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, focusing on strong classroom management
- Work collaboratively with staff and administration to support the success of all students
- Maintain strong communication with students, families, and the community
- Education: Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in Education, History, English, or a related field preferred
- Experience: Prior teaching experience and familiarity with Schoology or similar platforms is helpful
- Licensing: Teaching certification is a plus but not required
- Strong classroom management and the ability to connect with young learners
