Full-time Deaf And Hard Of Hearing Teacher - Syracuse, NY

At our school district in the Syracuse, NY area, students are the center of every decision that we make. We strive to provide our students with a high quality education, preparing them for success and opening the doors to college and careers. We have an immediate need for a Deaf And Hard Of Hearing Teacher to provide direct academic instruction.

Job Details :

  • Full time, 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday during standard school hours
  • ASAP - June 2025

Qualifications :

  • Valid NYS certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing NYS K-12 Teaching Certification
  • Fluent in American Sign Language.
  • Teaching experience or student teaching experience in a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Setting.
  • Knowledge of current educational trends, core, and alternative core curriculum and strategies for implementation as related to programs for students with hearing loss using American Sign Language to communicate.
  • Knowledge of state content standards and mandated tests
